YouTube: The Trendsetter Marketing

Hey everyone! As I stated in my previous post, I want to dedicate this blog based on my views in the sports apparel industry and how the marketing professionals influence it. That being said, welcome to our very first topic!
One of the biggest marketing trends we have seen in the sports apparel industry is the use of YouTube marketing videos. This industry specifically “has adeptly transformed its advertising strategy to meet the digital age and is more frequently turning to social media influencers for partnerships” (Mediakix, 2019). Nike is one of the biggest brands in the industry and is a great example of YouTube marketing to help engage their consumers. They use athletes to sponsor their products on their YouTube channels. This helps Nike’s consumers to view their products and how it’s being used, rather than looking at products through their website.
